Bontrager WaveCel Helmet - Improved safety claims questioned

I did a check on the Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute(www.bhsi.org) website. The helmet is highly recommended. But also found it to be too pricey. I am not going to spend $200 on a bike helmet.

If you're looking at the Wavecel Specter, I see that Scheels is now selling them at $120......far less than $200......with free shipping, too. There are some deals that can be found.

Of the 12 adult helmets tested, the Giro Aether MIPS, Specialized Propero III Angi MIPS, and Tec Nice MIPS (a Swedish helmet company) all received the “Good Choice” award, scoring a “four” on Folsam’s scale. By comparison, the lowest performing helmets scored a one, while Bontrager’s Charge WaveCel scored a two, below a couple of non-MIPS helmets.
