I'm seeing a lot of families and couples out riding bicycles now due to the coronavirus situation. Many of them not wearing helmets. It is interesting that in a lot of cases the children have helmets on but the parents don't. I guess the adults think that nothing bad will likely happen to them. I won't even leave my driveway w/o my helmet on.

Just looked up your state law. Helmets are only mandatory for under 12 years old.
To be honest, if I'm riding slow enough for a child to keep pace, I'd be tempted to not wear a helmet. I probably would still wear it, but I'd be tempted, knowing that the risks are a lot lower than they are at the normal speeds I operate.
