Another Delaware fatality

Another cyclist was killed in Delaware yesterday morning . I am not judging as I only have the article to go on. Apparently, the cyclist was in the right hand lane and a van was merging back into that lane and rear ended the cyclist, a 59 year old man. No further information at this time. A tragedy for all involved.

“I didn’t see him”
”Oh, well that’s OK then - off you go...”

If it had been two motorist-vehicles, the rear-ending vehicle would have an insta-ticket! At the least....

So what, would an insta-ticket issuance satisfy your quest for "justice"?

A news paper report would be welcomed here.

If the van struck the rear of the bike, I can't believe that the driver didn't see him. Even if traffic was slow in the van's lane and the rider was moving up fast in the right lane, the rider would have been in front and thus visible in time for the driver to avoid colliding.

It depends on how quickly he changed lanes and what other traffic was there.
