With some people regrettably disconnected from reality it can be difficult to tell when they are making an ironic comment or making a neurotic observation that they mistakenly perceive to represent reality. After all, long term psychosis does not necessarily rob one entirely of perceptions of humor. Also, of course, is the possibility that the subject is just an ordinary garden variety wanker.
