I know a fair number of people who became addicted to drugs their doctors prescribed for real and serious pain. Those people switched to illegal drugs. By your lights that justifies killing them. You justify your obnoxious statements, I am not going to explain addiction to you. News flash--addiction is real and illogical.

OTOH, people lived before aspirin, so I suppose you could argue no drugs are really needed. I mean, we all die eventually, right? So do we really need even life-saving drugs?

Life is short and one might as well fill it with varied and interesting experiences. LSD is a very interesting experience. The day that Albert Hofmann first used LSD is commonly known as Bicycle Day. We live in a wonderful world and we should appreciate what it has to offer.

Lets be brutal. Cyclist using drugs is a win win situation. When a cyclist using drugs dies in an accident because of drug use, it improves the gene pool, because their attitude of using drugs wont be passed on to a new generation. Then the second win is the fact that cyclist are in excellent shape and make good organ donors.

If the research (it's actual research, not "so-called" research, btw) had been supported with a grant or other external funding, it would've been acknowledged in the paper; I may have missed it, but saw no such acknowledgment.

Drugs make it easier to deal with cruel judgmental old people.

There is no logical reason to use illegal drugs. They make drug cartels rich, people are murdered over drugs, people die of drug over doses, and illegal drugs ruin lives in general. In a way anyone that uses illegal drugs are an accessory to the deaths of people that are murdered over drugs. So you you really feel comfortable with the fact that people are being killed to get your illegal drugs to you********************Again you are an idiot to get involved with them.

Now you're evading. You referred to "NEED" ... No one needs whisky, but I love a good single malt. No one needs art, but I love making photographs. No one needs tourism, but I love travelling to places. And if all your personal boundaries are set by the government, well, that's your choice. Don't tread on me.

Drug addicts are not ruled by logical. I knew someone who was murdered buying illegal drugs. His whole life was ruined by a school teacher who sexually abused and molested him for years. In some ways, his escape to drugs was a need and was logical. What is not logical? That teacher abuse hundreds of kids and never spent time in jail. I know many of the victims who needed illegal drugs just to survive. 4 are dead.

If they hadn't made them illegal back in the sixties or there about, we probably wouldn't have had what you describe here...
Alcoholic drinks use to be illegal here too for a short time. However when they realized that all the stuff you said in that quote was beginning to happen, they sensibly made alcoholic beverages legal again.
We've been fighting a drug war since the sixties and we haven't made a dent in it because making them illegal made them have to be sold by the bad guys. And it made throwing the basically innocent user in jail the defacto punishment with no rehab to keep them from using drugs.

Yes, but I hear they're fun to be around, have interesting things to say, and aren't constantly insisting the guitar they play is superior.

You do realize that a lot of the people who died from overdoses actually became addicted to legal drugs, right?
People who abuse drugs chronically are hurting themselves, and the drug prohibition has more to do with the murders than any individual user's habits.
Punishing users doesn't work to alleviate much of anything, and yes, I think we should continue to seek more effective ways of getting people past their addictions.

So can ignorance, but I don't expect you to try to treat yours. You have no idea what you're talking about or what anyone else is actually saying. Instead, you just want to spout off about how superior you are to everyone else.
You have made absolutely no points in this discussion other than to call.people idiots who would make the world better by dying. That was reprehensible, and you aren't going to get past that unless you admit you were wrong to say something that vile.
