You fax machine!

Yesterday I was walking up to the post office and saw a guy on a bike, no problem, tons of bikers out yesterday including myself, later. He was going north on Maude in Sunnyvale, between Pastoria and Mary. He was on the right side of the street, but then crossed over to the other side, to ride on the wrong side, and he surprised a postal truck coming out of a small side street. He yelled at the postal truck, it sounded kind of like "You fax machine" but I think it was Fawk something, idiot.

Wrong way bikers are starting to really pizz me off, they're a danger to themselves, us, and the image of biking.

Go figure. I'm also a runner and see many runners running WITH the direction of cars. So are runners now considered non-vehiclular traffic?

We have quite a few people on bicycles riding the sidewalk agains traffic, riding in the street against traffic, and cutting in and out.

It makes you wonder, do they know how they are supposed to ride (or run)? Would they even care? They do give the rest of us a bad image.

I almost ran into a wrong wayer this morning. I was coming downhill fairly fast, ready to make the traffic light at the bottom of the hill without hitting my brakes. This lady was riding an old cruiser, 5mph tops, uphill on the wrong side of the road. I saw her from a good distance, but I still had to slow and miss the light in order to assure her safety. I was not as polite as I should be--I yelled, "You're riding on the wrong side of the effin' road!"

The sad thing is, she probably thought I was riding on the wrong side!
