When is there enough rehashing?

I don't know about you, but I'm getting real tired of seeing the same advocacy ideas and the same safety ideas.
Other subforums are dealing with time sensitive information. This subforum deals with issues that continue for years or decades. Members who have been around a bit, tend to stop commenting thinking they don't want to travel down the same path as before. And yet, this information can be very interesting to new riders. The recent spike is gas prices has motivated a lot of people to rethink their reluctance to try cyclo-commuting.

Isn't there some method by which we come up with a commonly available resource for new/continuing cyclists to get just the information they need?

Something like an information center, maybe structured something like this:

Advocacy
-- members evaluation of advocacy groups
-- members evaluation of advocacy positions
-- position X, i.e. bike lanes
-- summary of members arguments in favor of position X
-- summary of members arguments opposed to position X
...etc
-- members advocacy success stories
.....etc

Safety
-- members safe riding resource listing
-- members view of safety training
-- members view of safety equipment
--- equipment X, lights
--- equipment Y, reflectors
--- equipment Z, brakes
...etc
-- members view of environmental hazards
-- how to safely ride in bike lane environment
-- how to safely ride in weather condition X, Y, Z
-- how to deal with road debris
-- how to position oneself on the road space
-- how to evaluate safe cycling roads and identify safe and unsafe route

We could all collaborate on a Wiki page that contains this information...

I just created a simple "cycling advocacy" Wiki page...
and made "bicycling advocacy" a link to it.

Have at it.

https://www.wikipedia.org

It's a free online encyclopedia that anyone with internet access can EDIT! It works surprisingly well. Every Wiki (an entry) has a discussion page. Some of my favorites:

Lance Armstrong
Tour de France
segregated cycle facilities
bike lane debate
vehicular cycling
capitalism
libertarianism
socialism

Also, the first two links in my signature go directly to the corresponding Wiki entries.
