"Get on the road, you idiot!"

We all have probably been screamed at by passing motorists. when riding on the street. Usually I get this:

"get on the sidewalk!"

Well, on the ride home yesterday I was riding on the road when something got in my eye. I pulled off onto the sidewalk to stop and take care of this. As I was coming to a stop a car pulled out to the end a driveway right in my path. I stopped quickly, glared at the driver, and told him to watch where he was going. He countered with "Get on the road you idiot!"

Now, mind you I ride on the road 99% of the time. sometimes I have to ride on the sidewalk to get around traffic snarls, but rarely do I ride on sidewalks. Yes, I do consider sidewalks more dangerous than the road.

I just laughed and told him "Thank you! You are the first driver to ever tell me that. I love you, man!"

He floored the gas pedal and took off.

Maybe we will meet again....

hehehe

At least he didn't hit you when backing out of the driveway.

I just noticed what you have for a location.

Seriously, I am more afraid of soccer moms backing out of their driveways while talking on cell phones than I am of traffic on the busiest streets.
