15-year-old MS150 rider killed by truck in SC

"A pickup hauling a trailer collided with the tandem bicycle that Rachel and her older brother, Tommy, were riding, the S.C. Highway Patrol said. The truck also knocked Giblin's wife, Becky, off her bike."

My heart goes out to the families impacted by this tragedy.

This could affect more than just her family and friends. Unfortnately, this may affect the charity ride for a great cause, which has been going on for 21 years. I hope they are able to stage this event in the coming years despite the tragedy...

Wow, This really hits close to home. As a 17 year veteran of the Mid Florida MS150 I can attest to the quality of this fine organization. I was a year behind Tom Giblin at CCDS while growing up in Charlotte back in the 1970's. My deepest condolences to the Giblin Family. My prayers are with you. John Taylor
