dirt bag riding a bicycle
Great, some dirt bag riding a bicycle followed a women driver into a parking garage today in Honolulu and robbed her at gun point. The drawing of the guy sort of looks like one of the downtown homeless. Time to ride by some of the homeless hangouts and see if he can be spotted before he gives another black mark against us.
Would not be cool if some women driving into my work parking garage, ahead of me, started freaking because I road in behind her.
I’ll check papers in morning for more info and maybe a copy of the drawing of the guy.

Anything that gets drivers to back off and hold their tempers is okily-dokily with me. If they think little old Bbonnn in her brilliant orange jacket and wrinkled cargo shorts is packing heat, I can't complain if they give me a bit more space because of it.

Great! This **** happens a month before I arrive for my vacation. I'm sending my bike ahead of me to so can ride on the island. I wonder what motorists will think of visitors who ride now.

A couple of days ago, a guy on a bike pulled a woman off a horse in banff. The woman's foot got caught in a stirrup, the horse got spooked and dragged her away from the assailant.

The way I see it, if you wear a helmet, or use a blinkie, or have panniers, or wear any cycle-specific clothing, nobody will mistake you for anything but a bike-geek.

Yeah who cares about the stereotypical impression we have of homeless people? I could be mistaken for a dirty homless person while I ride my bike? Lets go vigilante and start surveillance to profile them.
I don't think anyone is going to look at bikes any worse. Just like we don't enact retribution on all pedestrians when someone runs up and grabs someone's purse.

Now if I could just get that vagrant look working...

Although I do admire the mugger's sense of environmental responsibility. He could easily have stolen her car, and then a high-speed chase would ensue, and the fuel economy above 50mph would have been absolutely embarrassing.

Honolulu Advertiser
Police also released a sketch of a man on a bicycle who robbed a woman at gunpoint yesterday morning in a parking lot at 949 Kapi'olani Boulevard.
The robbery was reported at 8:30 a.m.
The woman, 26, told police the man took money and fled east on Waimanu Street on a silver-colored mountain bike with straight handle bars.
Information on the suspect can be passed to police through CrimeStoppers.
Shiznaz, It was not intended as a stereotypical slam on homeless. My post was not clear (written late, just before going to sleep), but I think I saw this guy a year or so ago. This guy, or his look alike, was/is one of the homeless in the area.

For a number of years Jacksonville, FL was plagued by a ****** on a bike. He was finally caught by DNA taken in an unrelated offense. We also have purse snatchers on bikes.

I told my wife about this and hes first and immediate reaction was "she was in her car and the guy was fleeing down the street on a bike?.... so why didn't she make him a hood ornament?"
Made me wonder the same thing...
