photos need

This may sound sick, but I need decent car VS cyclist photos for I want to put together a portfolio thing about the subject that I can use at any meetings I go to etc. Maybe use it in submissions to council. Where can I find them?

I don't have any photos but I remember seeing the worst bike accident in a faces of death video. Tractor trailer took out a cyclist...there really wasn't anything to identify

I remember watching videos like that when I took my drivers ed course, pretty nasty stuff, but it does give you a taste of reality on the road...

I'd be a little concerned about using "car vs cyclist" photos. Especially given the irrational attitudes that many people already have about bikes. This seems to be an area of the law where "punish the victim" seems to be fashionable, and screaming about drivers "hurting" cyclists may not help our cause all that much.

hmmm
good opinion. Perhaps fotos of the people bandaged up afterwards, the damaged bike and the damage on the car (if any) and fotos of where it happened.... im not so sure now. lol thanx Chris!

As a cyclist & motorcyclist, I'm interested in the punishment given out in your country for severly injuring or killing someone on 2 wheels. In the US it seems the worst they get is a traffic ticket and some community service if that.

I get way too much "you shouldn't be riding on the streets it's too dangerous". If people quit eating, talking on the cell, drinking alcohol, playing with gadgets, punishing the kids, playing with their dog, reading, balancing their check book (true - I saw it for 60 miles of interstate - Duke University student) while driving and doing what they are supposed to, PAYING ATTENTION TO WHERE THEY ARE GOING, a lot of "accidents" would not happen.

Sorry to lay that on you but that felt good. Pass it along!

It sounds like this could have a similar result. Can I just ask what sort of submissions you are seeking to put into your local council? If you're wanting cycling facilities improved - perhaps you could just find some photos of some particularly poor facilities to highlight what you are saying. A friend of mine got a digital camera and actually took photos of pot-holes and so on to submit to the council and the State Government.

Indeed I might just take fotos of what I face on my daily commute, and what I face on a commute into the city?
