Fuel
No one can convince me.
Not Amoco, BP (these are the same, now,) Shell, Exxon, etc.
Alternate fuels which don't pollute are possible. In fact, they probably already exist, just awaiting a profitable entrance to the world market. This denial reminds me of Philip-Morris, Liggett-Myers, etc.
Until then, we cyclists (and all other citizens, including children)
will have to put up with the poisonous effects of gasoline fuel.
Ozone at ground level has cumulative effects, destroying lung capacity, even killing asthmatics on an annual basis.
I'm ready. Convince me.

Every lane is a bike lane
The technology and knowledge probably exists to build a car that runs on water, but it will never reach the public. If anybody had the idea, the oil companies would probabably buy it up and eliminate its production to preserve their profits.
Until then, I'll continue to ride the quieter backroads where the fuel emissions are not so plentiful.
