two-way Bike Highway! |

I visited Amsterdam last year and it was amazing. I was utterly amazed at the layout of the city for bicycles. I did almost get hit by bicycles a few times though, not being used to their bike lane set up. Great pics, makes me want to go back soon.

Barcelona Bonita! OK, I have to go to work. you guys should check out this site, it's amazing. www.pps.org. |
I don't have pictures but Minneapolis has some nice fairly new two way bike lanes running along the Light Rail corridors. Hopefully some one from there can post a pic or two. If it wasn't for the fact that the average temperature for January is 3 I would consider moving there:p

Portland's circulating a draft RFP for someone to install, maintain and manage a fleet of this type of rental bike.

Wow that is a great web site! Here's a choice quote:
Streets Are People Places The first step in winning back our communities is realizing that cars should not rule the roads. By Fred Kent I have a favorite saying about transportation: "If you plan cities for cars and traffic, you get cars and traffic. If you plan for people and places, you get people and places." |
It IS a great website, isn't it? and some really great ideas. and a plethora of bike and pedestrian facilities that work and are used daily. re-making spaces for people, not automobiles.
