Street furniture

Do you feel any safer using street furniture over a railing or a signpost. Would you walk an extra 5 minutes to use the street furniture?

i personally feel just as safe using a railing, and i would much prefer to park my bike directly outside the place i am going.

Street furniture? Must be a city thing, us country folk ain't got no furniture, no sidewalks either.

this is what i mean by street furniture, it is probably alot more available in cities.
