Aggressive Driving thread.

I want to talk about Aggressive Driving in relation to your state.

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ght=aggressive

I see lots of programs for aggressive driving.
https://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/people/outr...dprograms.html

My state

.
Road Rage
"Anger Toward Another Driver Elements"
Can Cause Confrontation

Hostility Rude Gestures
Honking the Horn
Aggressive Maneuvering

Aggressive Driver
"One who operates a vehicle in a bold or unsafe manner"
Can Result in Citations

Tailgating
Speeding Citations
Illegal Lane Changes
Red Light Running

I wonder where the cyclist is in this. I think Aggressive Maneuvering is bold and unsafe.
Illegal lane changes should include buzzin, but it doesn't.
Tailgating what is the distance on that?

If I were a cop I could just get a couple of buddies and have a field day witting tickets.

Well I am ready to face more aggressive drivers hope I don't die today.
Yesterday I had a cd tossed at me.

If speeding makes one an aggressive driver, I'd estimate 80%+ of all drivers would qualify on a daily basis. I certainly do. I'm not proud of it, and I wish the speed limits were lower, but as long as the laws aren't enforced and the penalties are meaningless, people will continue to drive as quickly as they (think they) can get away with in this country.

For an example of criminally aggressive driving 24 hours a day, just come to beautiful Miami Florida, road rage capital of the world.

Yes, fortunately race and ethnicity seem to be the correlative factors for predicting road rage... [\sarcasm]

Maryland does not include endangering pedestrians or bicyclists as Aggressive Driving.

You can be charged with aggressive driving if you do violate three or more of the following while driving:
(Traffic lights with steady indication) (Overtaking and passing vehicles) (Passing on right) (Driving on laned roadways) (Following too closely) (Failure to yield right-of-way) (Exceeding a maximum speed limit or posted maximum speed limit)
