The driver in the White Van was blowing the horn as if to warn us. but she was behind the house.

Looks like a 16' wide. In NC IIRC they have to have flag cars front and rear on one that size, narrower ones only on certain roads.

That reminds of the time I was driving around the Smokey Mountains on a narrow winding two lane road when suddenly a pickup truck came around the corner. The passenger and driver were waving their hands and honking like crazy. I’m thinking WTF is the matter with them. I go around the next curve and right smack in front of me is a double wide they are transporting. I still had time to move out of the way but it scared the **** out of me…

Here at home, without any front and rear pilot vehicles in sight, the highway patrol would have a field day.

I really wish that Texas would put the law back into effect that they can only move them during the slowest part of the night. It would make it much simpler. There was an issue with one in the DFW Bike MS ride last weekend.
