Photographs of your injuries.

Move this thread if you want. I couldn't find another similar thread by searching. Not sure if it a popular topic.

Well i wiped out. It still hurts five days later. Here is what it looked like on day one and two.

My fresh wounds (from 10:30 this morning) look very similar to your first pic, then both my knee caps and hip are the same/worse. Finally finished work now though! Really didn't feel like going in today!

It's what pics can't show is what's worrying me, my upper back, right should, elbow and wrist are in bits too! Stupid van drivers pulling random U-turns!

T-boned at an intersection. Broken nose was the worst part.

I'll play, here is my ugly mug after I cut the corner tight and caught the edge of the gutter pan and ashpalt surface. I was instatnly slammed to the ground so fast I never even took my hands off the bars. My speed was close to 25mph. I recieved 8 stiches over my eye from my glasses and the glasses most likely saved my eye judging by the scratches on the lenses.

I was hit by a car and slid or dragged about 20 feet (idk I was unconscious) >_< if would have been worse and more spread out if I wasn't wearing a leather jacket (yes while I was riding).

no, I was just casually cycling at night with friends and my leather aviator jacket was best for staying warm. I was hit when I decided to go home early

You really, really do not want to see the images of my injuries. They are 4 years past now, but were horrendous...

From being left hooked, a bruised hip, at least one broken rib, and a slight fracture below my knee, all on my left side. Was sent home the day of the accident with lots of pain meds and was off work for 10 days. The hardest part was getting in and out of bed because of the ribs.

Ran a red light @ 5:00 a.m. July 3, 2008. On my way to work. Hit a car, which was like 1 of 10 I saw that morning. We finally got the last bill paid a few weeks ago. A sub-dural hematoma (?) is the only thing I got out of it, and a little road rash. Backpack saved my back.

I like the idea of wearing leather for protection, but I can't imagine actually cycling in it. It seems way too hot and restrictive. I wish they made a stretchy lycra fabric that was as tough as leather.

I only wore it because it was a slow ride so I would have been cold without it. I once wore it to what I thought would be a casual group ride, WRONG. It was a hustle and I was sweating lakes and rivers.

Do you flip out and not want to drive everytime you see an injury from a car crash, too? Life is one big fat risk so don't let it freak ya out too much.

I will dig them out of the archive tonight and post. I will post a warning and links so that any who do not want to see will not have to. I have had 19 surgeries as a result of being hit by a car pulling out of a parking lot and my right leg was a salvage situation...
