Notice how the bus yielded for the cyclist.

No helmet evident though.

Baskets vs panniers?

You can do everything right, and some a-hole can stick wreck your life. Lucky cyclist.

I normally check for cross traffic even when I have the right of way... But would I have noticed the runaway car that caused this accident? I'm really not sure.

Notice all the debris that went towards the wheels. There's got a be a broken spoke or two.

Amazing.

Nice find.

A few years back I had a similar hit-and-push-through-a-red while proceeding on a green light.

But nowhere near that hard, and nowhere near that close.

If this video is real, that cyclist has a new birthday, the day of the crash.

Talk about threading the needle.

Almost looks like a Surly Big Dummy, or the Chinese equivalent.

If it was the end of a half-century or longer ride, I could have missed the runaway death-trap.
