How do you prevent airzound theft?

For those of you with airzound, is there theft problem when you park it outside? Removing it and re-attaching seem to me to be not a pleasant job!

At least 'round here it's never been an issue. I think it's unfamiliar enough and enough of a PITA that people don't usually bother with it. Then again, I don't need to leave it outside for long periods...

I just use plastic zip-ties to secure it to the frame. I use them anyway to keep the extra length of hose out of the way. Most people don't know what it is and are not interested in it. Its not expensive and it doesn't look like something a crack head could sell for drug money.

From what I hear they tend to wear out after a year or so anyways which is probably much more likely than it getting stolen. You could also try super gluing it to the bracket so it doesn't pop off so easily. That would mean a thief would have to have both a pair of clippers for the zip-ties AND a screw driver to steal the $15-20 horn. Thats not bad.

I remember reading on one of these forums that someone finally lost her airzound to theft after some 4(?) years parking bike outside without problem. The thief must have been disappointed to know it's so much used.

If something is held on to your bike with screws or allen bolts then you can make it a pit to steal by filling the slots/hexes with glue from a hot melt glue gun.
