Cyclists don't belong in the bike shops. They should be on bike paths. They were probably standing two abreast, not wearing helmets, and it is clearly not the driver's fault.

They can be in bike shops, they just have to stay as far to the right as possible. If these people were further right, nobody would have been hurt.

It's possible this had nothing to do with her age, but I have to say it: why is it that drivers are only tested one time: when they receive their license? They should be retested at intervals, regardless of age.

Check your state regulations. You will likely find that DMV can mandate lots of things, especially after an 'accident", such as a medical check and release or retesting, etc.

Isn't the first thing you ask after an accident "How's my bike?"
Didn't anyone else notice she missed the rack full of bikes and none were damaged.

That's the first thing I noticed. If she was just a foot to the right, and clipped the rack, the damage done would be in the hundreds of thousands rather that tens. Would probably have been more interesting/painful to watch.

Her driving days are over. At her age her insurance company will drop her like a hot rock. She won't find another insurance company that will cover her.

PMSL at some of the comments...
But seriously, this makes me want to live somewhere old drivers are re-tested.
