Everyone would be better off if both of those groups stayed home. Blocking the free movement of the general public is stupid!!!!

About half the group had costumes on, which was fun. There were no tall bikes this time, but somebody showed up on a unicycle. That guy had better cadence than 90 % of the group ... watching him go down hills was pretty intense!

I don't quite know how your constitution weighs those things, but as demonstrations are not in themselves illegal, and may be seen as an important part of free speech, there will have to be some sort of compromise between the right of speech and the right of free movement. So, calling it "stupid" is really neither here nor there.

is our body of legal tradition.
To say any more risks being thrown into the P+R.

Shouldn't this thread be in the Pacific Northwest section of 'Regional Rides and Events' or 'Regional Discussions'? (why should folks outside of the Seattle area care about Seattle's CM, this doesn't seem to be about advocacy or safety?)

Since the event is long over, shouldn't it just sink into obscurity ?

Shocking as it might sound, Critical Mass isn't limited to Seattle. And you would never realize this by reading A&S, but there turn out to be bikes outside of the Pacific Northwest, too. Amazing, I know.

But they really aren't important unless they are in Portland...
