Dear Mr. Heltsley,

I recently read about an incident involving you intentionally striking a cyclist with your car. We are real people, just like you are. I have a wife and people who depend on me. I bicycle to work every day. Is there anything important enough to justify hurting, or killing someone with your car? This isn't a game - we are human beings, and we bleed. Assuming you are mentally competent enough to read this - please think about it while you are driving. We have families. We love our children. We have cats and dogs. Is anything important enough to kill one of us for?

Aaron

I don't Kentucky law but I was wondering why vehicular assault and battery wasn't among the charges.

Not sure about KY law either. I am going to try and keep up with this case. I would like to know how the judges in this city feel about bicyclists. I vote.

We have a similar case out here. This guy is up on attempted murder charges. It wasn't his first road rage and his license was suspended.

Some people are just crazy out there. Be safe.
