There's No Such Thing as a Cyclist
The thread title was chosen to be slightly controversial, but this is an just an invitation to some fun.
A long thread on Canon Digital Photography Forms provides an eloquent reminder of the vast variety in cycling and the many dimensions of both advocacy and safety.

Lots of great pics there, but I guess they exist only in my mind as according to the OP they all those pics are of something nonexistent. I'll be checking the checkout display stands for more information on this international delusion.

How you run your life is your business and I'm not trying to tell you how.
That said, a piece of friendly advice from one male to another.
I have had much better luck with women since I grew up and started looking them in the eye rather then looking at ~ well, other parts of their anatomy ~ unless invited to do so.

Thanks for the advice. I'm sure it will change my life.
I'm also going to try the presumptuous and condescending attitude. I'm sure the ladies will be all over me!

I read Copenhagen Cycle Chic for a long time. Danish women on bikes in heels are cool. I think that the main contributer runs that blog.
By page four someone bemoans the lack of helmets and gives a cautionary tale. Just thought that was funny.
