If I had my knife with me, I probably would've smashed every window on that side, including the side view mirror.

3 minutes into it thus far. Don't really care to see it escalate any more though. The incident should have ended at about the 0:45 mark.

Says you who brought this **** here in the first place. Look, dude, I get it.... we're all brethren and supposed to look out for each other or whatever on our 2 wheels. Still... If everyone stopped traffic & got off their bike or out of their car whenever they get cutoff, no one would ever get anywhere! Homeboy had a choice when the mini-van ever so rudely and dangerously passed him... he made a very stupid choice, followed by another, and another and yet another, only to further escalate an already dangerous and unnecessary situation. I don't need to see the money shot to know that what we have here are two really big dick faces. Whatever.

Wow. The driver of the van committed so many felonies. I hope the cyclist went to the nearest police station and reported this.

A about 1:20 the bike was close to the yellow center line. It looks to me like both the driver and rider were overly aggressive. Plus I wonder about people that ride with cameras commuting - it's like they are looking to record trouble

Or just hang back for a minute or two til the driver took off. But yeah. Less conflict is always better.

I know three people who use gopro/contour cameras while commuting for the exact reason that is displayed in this video; if they are harassed by or hit by a driver.

look the cyclist made one mistake and that is being confrontational and otherwise did everything right, those hasidic fellows, however, gave jews a bad name by doing everything wrong.

I'm no genius but if you have a beef with a driver, DO NOT get in front of him again. The number of scumbags that will run your ass over and not think twice is too high to do that.

I ride with my camera running all the time. You just never know when it will come in handy.

What was the very first thing the cyclist did after the van overtook him?

He re-overtook, on the right side, in the same lane, with a line of parked cars on the right, and approaching a red light to boot. THAT was the first thing he did wrong. Then he did the same thing at least 2 more times before stopping all traffic on the road. I'm not saying that he Hasid is anything less than a dick and an *******. But so was the cyclist.

Agreed. He should have been the better man and backed off to stop the situation for escalating like it did.

I can't say the first pass by the minivan was dangerous. He didn't pass too close on the left and didn't pull back in way too soon. After the cyclist continued to attempt to get out front, successive passes by the van were closer. Of course the van driver was wrong about the cyclist being not allowed to occupy the lane, but in traffic I always try to find a way to let cars behind me pass. I can't set the pace for autos and know better than to try. Cyclist just couldn't let the van stay out front and was to my thinking clearly at fault. Between the camera and the attitude one has to wonder if the cyclist was trying to pick a fight.

But BTW what was that awful clicking noise throughout?
