But in reality, the attorney was mostly just working with what he had, basically nothing.
You object to legal opinions in other threads, but freely offer up one in this thread.

Offered his opinion on a legal issue = legal opinion of the type he has such dislike from others.

Oh well, I guess some are true believers in 'do as I say, not as I do'.

Ok So put me on ignore CB, Not really of any concern to me. BTW, I mistyped, I was trying to deny offering a legal opinion. Anyway, I will keep on posting as I see appropriate, you can keep on badgering, will not affect me in any way. Other forum members will regard or disregard as they see fit.

You know what's worst? A cop killing a fellow motorist by running a red light without her emergency lights on. The only thing this cop lost was her job. I don't remember if she was charged with a crime or not.

I'm actually surprised they lost their job.

You are absolutely right. There are irresponsible people that dont pay attention, and then someone gets hurt. It was not an "accident".

Actually, I believe the vast majority of experienced motorists have zoned out at some point of their driving 'career'. I've done it many times, even though I consider myself a cautious motorist. When I'm thinking about something or talking to someone in the car, most of the time I slow down drastically and move to the slow lane. Nonetheless I sometimes find myself missing a chunk of the drive home after a particularly long day.

Similarly, other people may be driving home exhausted after a long day at the office, be recovering from an illness, tormented by a family/relationship/financial problem, be distracted by quarreling children, etc.

If everyone chose to stay home when they are feeling less-than-razor-sharp, the highways would be pretty empty.

"Irresponsible" is just a very convenient assignment that applies to everyone else. When it's your family member or friend or yourself in question, there's almost always some other valid reason.
