Yeah, It was kinda nice of the gunman to provide such a good closeup.

But it's not surprising. Bicycles are getting more expensive and folks are more serious about keeping them secure. So it's not surprising that there's a mode shift from bike theft to bike jacking. This would parallel the dramatic rise in car jackings as auto ignition security improved over the last decade or so.

BTW- I gather this was HELMET CAM, and I'm surprised that after taking a good close look at the camera the robber didn't think to take it away. But then again, nobody says criminals are smart.

I would be extremely worried if I were that MTB'er considering they may not get all that much time and quite possibly have a vendetta after release. Time to relocate?
