its a target fixation issue, IMO. you go where you look, and you likely panicked and fixated your eyes on the objects of destruction. When I notice myself drifting toward the edge/crack/rock/etc, I just try to look a little to either side to help avoid it. It's a trick I learned from motorcycles and watching many people target fixate into an accident. I had one friend crash, and the guy behind him followed him right off the road because he fixated on that target. look where you need to go! Glad you are ok
