We want to help you purchase Push Bikes

Hi there

I work for a consumer affairs program which is going out for the BBC. It is called ' High Street Haggle' and basically involves a trained negotiator getting a knock-down price for our show participatprs'.

If anyone is interested in getting a Push Bike and doesn't mind appearing on telly we can get you a knock-down price.

regards,

James M.

James, good luck with your project . A few pointers:
1. It is a pedal cycle, not a push bike. We dont push them.
2. This is mainly a US/rest of world site. You will have better luck on a UK-based forum such as cyclingplus.co.uk.
3. Margins on bikes are so small my local bikeshop doesnt bother with bog std bikes. There are places where you can get discounts but they are not bike shops.
4. Bikes needs assembly, checking and aftermarket support; this is the value that a specialist bike shop brings and for which you have to pay. Unlike many consumer items, bikes are safety critical. If it stops working properly, you could die. Horribly. Its not a vacume cleaner or a microwave oven.

Push bike, what a horrible word for a bicycle... Makes it sound like all the bearings are rusted from having sat in the rain too long.
