advice on ape hangers
lookin to make my own ape hangers for a bike i'm building any suggestions as to the best type of tubing to use for this? anyone made their own before?

here is a suggestion: dont make ape hangers they are ugly.

I take bmx bars cut them in the middle, (between the curves) and add tubing( note: tubing that fits tight inside cut bars) to desired length. Then I lay the bars on a flat surface and check for desired angle. Then weld them up and smooth out the welds and add a new crossbar. A crossbar is need if the bars are really tall because of flexing . I've done this a couple times and they look great and cost almost nothing. Hope this helps ,good luck.
