Bike build-off
Just thinking that it would be fun to have an alt-bike-build-off.
Before you get too excited, here is what I am thinking:
1.) No prizes.
2.) No formal judging.
3.) Just build a bike out of junk and post it here.
4.) $15 build limit (enough for 2 or 3 cans of spraypaint or a part or two) Must flex your salvage/dumpster skills. You can use existing parts and stuff, but it must be junk (can't hack up your little sister's brand new bike, unless it is junk and she doesn't want it).
5.) Must be rideable, like at least 4-5 miles on flat ground.
6.) Only real requirement is a before and after picture. (like a picture of a couple frames and pipes on the ground and a picture of the finished product, nothing fancy, don't need every step documented in duplicate and triple stamped, although that would be cool).
7.) One entry per person.
Any other ideas? Anyone interested?
Just need a reason to build something crazy.

Sounds like fun. They just did something similar at ratrodbikes.com and it was pretty cool. My bike won't be finished in time but I hope to have it rideable. Anyway, I might down for something like this a month or so from now.
