tallbike *******
check it out.
starting in spring im going to ride a tallbike across the country. you should join me. if you dont suck.
it can be done in 2 months or so, but im lazy and want to take time for sight seeing and drinking. so im thinking 4 months. i plan to start near virgina beach, virginia and go to seaside oregon. but i might go the other way.
step 1 is to find some like minded induviduals. if you want to discus this join my group:

To the OP, I don't suck, but I don't have a tall bike or the desire to ride across country either. I do however wish you luck in your endeavor and hope you have a safe and enjoyable voyage.

jsharr--there's a dallas chapter of the Bone Shakers (a mutant bike gang) if you're interested. We're also planning some events up here in OKC (jousting, polo, a bike prom, etc) and you're more than welcome to show up with any fellow freak bikers.

That's cool! Pics of the bike you're taking? I hope it's got some gears/brakes, if not you're a braver man than I.
If I could afford to not work for four months I'd seriously consider it (talk is cheap, right?), that sounds like a great time.

there's quite a few tall bike kids here in austin. i'm sure you'd want to hit this spot along the way anyway, but we got some cool stuff goin' down. i just ride a cross frame, but my friend tried to get me to ride her tall bike last week. i didn't though since i was pretty drunk.

There are only like two tall bikes here.
One I've seen, one I've heard about, and I don't think I'm talking about the same bike, but I might be.
