Wow! just the thought scares the heck out of me, seems to me that a slowing function would be a good thing to have.

I am for sure getting old!

The concept, possibly, is at least as "old" as a video game called Kinetica, which came out for PS2 back in 2001:

Did you see him shout a warning to the pedestrian at 2:03 in this video linked earlier?

Yeah, I think I'd take a dump if that guy passed me on the highway. It'd sure suck to hit some loose gravel or a pothole in that suit...

I can see that the downside of this is that at slow speeds in crowded areas, you just look like a major ****er. Sort of like walking around in a Darth Vader outfit when it's not Halloween.

"Did you see him shout a warning to the pedestrian at 2:03 in this video linked earlier?"- heard it, didn't know it was a warning.

I can't imagine that you'd sell many of those suits without having some dead users out there.

Wonder if the guy's hair ever gets caught in those rollers by his neck?

Yeah -- he yells sharply, then as he passes the camera and the cameraman pivots to keep him in the shot, you see this guy in a hat & coat who was just about to cross the street right next to where the cameraman was standing.
