color ideas, need some input

Alright, the plans for my project are finally starting to come together. I've been jumping around sections asking questions about one project. This one is about color. Satin black cruiser frames seem way over-used. What about a light brown, or maybe a satin army color green? I'm looking to use a color that will look good with the whitewalls and black fenders, but one that isn't overused.

Black, Neon Green, and Hot Pink.

But, seriously, the black fenders pose a problem with light brown I would think... Maybe not, I'd have to see the bike... Pastel/light green could look good...

that's great. You remind me of my dad. "I'll buy a motorcycle in any color, as long as it's black."

Maybe some black pinstripes on the frame? I'll try to get a pic up of it. Maybe a darker brown, or a copper? I painted this bike with rattlecans, a duplicolor paint called burnt copper. It's a metallic paint, and is still in good shape after 3 years.

Alright, here's the $60 monster, in all it's ugliness. Sporting factory peeling decals, ugly powdercoat, and actually a decent aluminum frame under all the mess. It'll have springer forks, with the curved tubes painted to match the frame.

I'd go for teal, but I tend to lean towards lighter colours. A really interesting shade of dark green would look good too.

Took one of my 'builds' to the auto shop and told him paint it the color you next use on a car...I got it back pea green, which is not so bad...I need to do some re-work on it so may rattle can over the pea green with something darker. One of my other bikes is yellow, which i like.

hmm, I like the idea of taking it to an auto body shop, and having them spray it with their excess paint. Seems like everyone likes green, so I'll look into that too. I will most likely end up rattle canning it. A matte military green would be nifty. basscadetz, nice bike you have there.

There's a whole bunch of greys you could use. I'm taking it your looking for a flat/matte finish of the rat-rod style, but don't want black?

Generally they're left primers-grey or red. If you go with flat green every ones gonna call it an Army bike.

The brown might be better.

Then there's always shiny colors.

I'm ok with a glossy paint. But for satin colors, I was only thinking about the green or black. I am trying to go with a retro color if I can.

I've really taken a liking to Cream color lately.

BMW puts a great cream color on the Mini Cooper that I really like.

I'm dropping a frame off at the local auto body shop tomorrow or this weekend and I'm thinking Cream and then I'll hand paint brown accents on the lugs

That is nice, I've been thinking of a dark grey for one of my bikes.

I like dark grey especially when its flat primer.

I actually really like the look of Grey or Black primer as the final coat. With glossy red or white Wheels

i didnt for the first few months i was here, only because i have a big head, and finding the right fit was an issue. i found an old vintage cricket helmet for 3 bucks that fits well.

so yes, i now wear a helmet! 50 dollar tickets from the man sucks.
