Several years ago I painted a bike red and put white and blue in the spokes of the wheels for a4th of July parade...does that count.

I was about to start a new thread to ask a question, but figured this thread was a good start. Who on here is planning on decorating and/or riding their bike in any parades this weekend? I am going to see about jumping into an annual parade that has been happening in a neighborhood for years and years, and encourages decorated bikes. Got some dollar store items as well as some things I had laying around that will go on my beach cruiser. Will post pictures when it is done, and hopefully from the parade.

Just finished decorating, and not a moment too soon. Supposed to hit around 115 degrees outside today, and was around 100 when I finished
I am pleased with the end result, can't wait for the ride.

Just got back from the parade. Didn't get any pictures (sorry, wasn't thinking about it), but I did place 3rd in the decorated bike category.

It looked like bicycle jousting to me, so yeah, try to knock down the other rider. (and his torch) Fun for some I suppose.
Good job on the decorating e-man. I wanted to do one for the parade this year but never got to it. I did see some kids attaching smoke bombs to their bikes and then fly down a large hill though. Very light winds so it left a nice trail.
