I have an old Schwinn mountain bike with 650B rims. Nice bike for tooting around town. I am now inspired to make a "Gilligan's Island" bike. Bamboo covered frame, bamboo rack or basket, palm leaf fenders, and coconut shell lights front & rear.....
Got to dig up a book on macrame, too.

I like the skulls on the bar ends, too! Actually, I like the gold trim combined with the lime green rims. Very nice colour combination.

Great looking bikes! Customizing has come a long way, back in the early '70s my brother and I used to find junk bikes, hacksaw off the front forks, and hammer them into the ends of Stingray forks to make a chopper bike! I especially lik e the black cruiser with the portholes, it reminds me of an old Harley-Davidson back when they were nearly bicycle frames with engines.

2 more kustoms
My bobber bike, both lights are wired to a hidden battery and switch under the seat.

and here is one im still working on, I raked the neck just a bit to lower it with out using a bent springer. I have a 3 speed hub on the way, and am building a tall suicide shifter for it. that seat is going to be gone soon as well, just tossed it on there for a test ride.

My Micargi Tahiti NX3 beach cruiser came with a wheel set like that. They might sell wheel sets. I had to peel the swirly palm tree stickers off of it. I'm planning on getting a red chain, an iron cross chainring and some DK iron cross pedals. I'm looking for chrome capped grips that will work with my shifter and cost less than $20.

Is that a Bamboo covered frame or a Bamboo frame. Is it called the 'Bambruiser'?
