Bikes: old dyno,2 scratch builds,2micargi frames[but pimped and real riders]old diamondback hybrid with lots of miles,a tandom,and my latest project is pimping out a schwinn meridian trike

help with trike wheels

i have a schwinn meridian that i put a bent springer and banana seat,,i want to put 144 spoke wheels on it. besides welding it to the axle,how can i make it work,,the drive side [right] has the drive wheel which is a flat side on the axle ,,the free side [left] has a set of bearings on the rim so it freewheels.i would love to hear any other suggestions thanks
