My Bike on Video Parade

http://vimeo.com/3817076

I rode my yellow lowrider in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade. The video is grainy, but I appear at 15:28, and I am on the screen until 16:22 (it's a 40 minute video).
I rode just behind the Motorcycle Club.

I'm wearing a green shirt, and my bike is yellow, with a yellow fairing. Actually there is white plastic covering where the headlight used to be.

Sorry it's so grainy. My Mother found this video yesterday and told me about it.

Yes, the video is grainy, however you are visible...riding in parades can be fun, they are slow, sometimes painfully so , but still fun to be in the crowd and getting some exercize?

Yes, it was so slowwwwww.......

my battery was getting too weak for the blinking lights to flash, and the headlight was more brown than white (I'm having my own brownout...)

The day after the parade , I installed a second batery. The flashers are on the left side battery, and all the other lights are on the right side battery. Both batteries are 12 volt by 7 amp/hours.
The platform on the headtube of the bike can hold the weight. The Suziki fairing could be removed, and I could use the platform, and I'd have a cargo/utility bicycle. But all the toggle switches are mounted in holes drilled in the fairing, so I'd have to rewire the whole thing.

I might use the batteries for an electric motor kit someday, but I don't bother on account I don't need the Police asking if it's legal.(or telling me it's not legal.)

More video, with volunteers to ride the bike, because I was having the damndest time trying to ride the bike and aim the camera at myself at the same time:

Note: The kids were rehearsing a play called "Grease" , with John Travolta, Olivia Newton John, and a Motorcycle called "Greased Lightning". So the Type 9 stood in as a prop for a motorcycle. At least that's my understanding.

In case you haven't guessed, I obtained a DVD recorder last week, so I can now transfer my videotape collection to DVD, which in turn fits in the slot on my computer, so I can broadcast the video on YouTube.

Here are the Type 5 AND Type 6, together at the same time. Volunteers are doing the pedaling, so I can stand by and run the Camcorder:

This video shows how to install the handlebar clamps of the Type 7A, which serves as a handlebar basket:

Barrier Impact Test- The Type 4 was used for a barrier impact test. The car companies crash test their cars, so I figured I should crash test a Human Powered Vehicle. There is a 70 pound piece of lead (boat ballast) in the fairing:
