Found old frame in the attic
I was digging thru the attic and came across a banana seat bike from the 70's, an Executive, a few years back when the family home was being sold. Because I am a packrat, I decided that one day I would do something with it.
A few years ago I bought 70 spoke wheels, white wall tires (rear slick) and big arse ape hangers. I wanted to do a Bobber style bike, not a chopper or low rider. I took the old bike apart and then lost interest. When I moved from my condo to my new house, I was between homes 5 weeks and some stuff got left at my mothers house, where I took the tools and automotive stuff.
Today I visited mom and was in the garage and came across the box of crap. I got all of the parts and brought them back to the house with the exception of the metallic blue seat, rear bar, and stem because they are buried in the garage some place. My idea was to sand blast it, a buddy of mine has a big cabinet, then repaint it blue again. Chrome and blue is a nice combo, with the whitewalls and white grips. When I got it home, I was looking at the frame I was wondering if I should even bother with it. The bearings disintegrated when I took it apart and I will have to find something that will fit. Its a toss up right now.
I had another plan too. I have this Huffy I used for the swap meets for years and I wanted to paint it flat black (pink doesn't go with my eyes) and with the new chrome spokes, apes, and white walls, it would fit that old school bobber look as well. Plus it has a white seat, pedals and stem already.
Which bike should I put all the new crap on?

You are the one who has to make the call. I like the banana style however.

I agree, I think I am going Banana. I talked to my LBS and they said they should be able to match up the bearings. I am pulling the crankset this weekend and clean everything up. I am going to be at my buddys shop on Monday to do some work on my Alfa Romeo so I'll bring the frame so I can sand blast it. The body guy down the street from me is doing some work on my 66 Mustang and the blue color is almost spot on. When he does the touch up, he is also going to spray the frame at the same time. It will be cool to have the vintage bike match the vintage car.

I'd do the dark blue one, you can chop up the other for creative stuff.

Do the blue one completely.
Make the other one safe to ride and then donate it to somebody who will appreciate it...The Bike Kitchen maybe!

The pink bike I use for the local car swap meet. I don't have to worry if it gets stolen, I got it for free. But I thought about taking that one, sanding it and giving it a coat of flat black. The blue banana is getting done for sure. I wasn't able to blast the frame last week but might be able to tomorrow. All depends how long it takes to do all the maintance items on my Alfa Romeo at his shop.
I'll start posting pictures as work progresses.
