Tadpole Trike/Frankenbike progress

This started its life as a tadpole scooter. The previous hacker put a 20 inch rear wheel off a kids bike on the back. I removed the 10 inch diameter go cart wheels from the front and put 20 inch hollow hub wheels, changed the rear end to take 26" 3 speed wheel and a banana seat. The recumbent style stem/handlebar combo replaced the apehangers. It can be riden sitting or standing and my little can stand just behind the steerer tube. what kind of scooter was it originally? i don't think i've seen anything like that, or it's far enough away from it's original form that i don't recognise it.

the kid would lose his standing place (or maybe gain a seat), but it looks like it could be a cargo bike with some front storage.

The trike was called a WRFF. If you go to my blog there are pictures of an unmolested one, as it looked when I bought it and others along the way. One of the next steps is to put a small cargo tray/basket upfront. First comes a rim brake and a shifter to be installed.

How does it handle at speed? It's really high, but it looks like you could really lean into the corners.

It currently only has a coaster brake so no tests at max warp yet! I bought/gathered the parts for a hand brake. I needed a roll of housing and a tandem brake cable. This should be the next big step.
