I just got this for free today. it is a 1973 bike and it has been customized. I'm going to paint it white and black or something with candy

I never seen a bike like this when I got it. I got the old paint striped off and I'm going to paint it burnt orange metallic

huh... WTF is up with the left hand drive? i'm guessing whoever just mounted the cranks backwards by accident. one thing that really stands out about the bike is the forks. they have a similar geometry to the cheap chinese springer forks common on lowriders, but as rigids, they're unique and can be color keyed to the rest of the bike. the saddle looks custom too, or at least not like the off the shelf options available today. if it's in good condition, then matching the frame to the seat would be the way to go. in a world where a lot of lowriders use the same off the shelf parts, or are over the top with expensive, but pointless gaudy decorations, that ride could stand out as an understated ORIGINAL.
if you can, grinding out some of the bondo (?) in the back section to round it out if you can would be a nice touch in making the empty space more heart shaped.
