Mud guards and break away mounts??
I was riding the GAP for 2 days and there was quite a bit of branch debris. For the first time my SKS front mud guard break away functioned.
But I noticed on my wife's bike the SKS front mounting is different. It appears the design has changed. So I am not sure that it would break away if the need arises.
Thoughts???
Thanks!

Show me/us? Pics?
the Koga (my WTR) company bought in bulk from SKS, they friction fit on the outer ends, bolt solid to the eyelet end.
(you can buy the disconnects separately on your internet)

Image would be helpful. I don't recall any SKS fenders sold without black plastic breakaway connector - it's an integral part of attaching wire stays to frameset.
I recommend you contact SKS directly - they'd need a product number, or picture, to advise.
If you're always bicycling slowly I don't think need for breakaway component is critical; forested mountain descents are the primary scenario where this is a very good idea.
I've considered retrofitting these to VO fenders, but they probably will not fit the smaller diameter stay used by SKS.

Took a closer look at both bikes today. I guess the design has changed but they both have break away mounts.
