Are all bars compatible with all stems ?
I want to change my riser bar that came with the bike to a flat bar.
The bar and stem is by Bontrager and I'm looking at an Easton flat bar - do I need to be carefull and check the bar I choose fits my stem or are they all pretty standard ?
Thanks..

there are two standard diameters for mountain bikes.
25.4mm and 31.8mm
1. you want to find out what clamp diameter your stem has (it is probably stamped on the bar where the stem clamps it) or you can measure with ruler
2. make sure the bar you are getting is the same diameter as your old one.
Are you getting a carbon flat bar or aluminum?
