This is my bottom braket. I really dont know much about these, is there any maintainence required? I have had water in my frame from leaving the seat off in the rain. What else could happen from water being in the frame?

Anyhelp is good thanks

There shouldn't be any real regular maintenance with that bottom bracket. It's a cartridge system so if a problem evolves you have to replace the whole thing. However, bottom brackets are a common scapegoat so if you do start having problems actually try to find out what's causing it, and don't just get a new bottom bracket.
Water in the frame is just not good. I would turn it over, with the post out, and try to get all the water out. If it's steel it could rust, if it's aluminum, well I don't know but it's typically not good. If only for added weight.

What other components could it effect other than the bottom braket and frame? I mean Mountain bikes are designed to take abuse from outside weather right.
