numerous problems...maybe normal?
yesterday my chain fell off when i went over a big hump, back tire didnt even come off the ground. today it fell off when i went off a curb, back tire didnt even come off the ground...what the heck is going on here? my front end feels like junk, it soaks up pretty decent size bumps good, but if u pull it up to get over a bigger obstacle or come down off of something like a curb it makes a a clanking noise when the wheel leaves and returns to the ground. anyone? i noticed it feels like theres alot of excess friction...idk that could be because of the knobby tires on the road or the hubs or something else, i have no idea. i might just be being over-criticial of it all, i tend to do that with things i buy, but can anyone help me out?

bring it to a bike shop and have them figure it out.
your post is too vague.
could be the b tensioner, the headset, the wheels, the crank, the chain, rings, cogs, tires, rim, spokes, pedals, derailleur, brakes, fork, bb. or teh paint.

You forgot the saddle. I say it's the saddle.
I'm sorry. That was mean. Been hanging around the "night pictures" thread too much.

Well matter of perspective. I definately have savings, but I don't save for anything in particular. If I have to I have it to pull out of my arse

My point was that it's redundant to go on forums and ask "Why is my bike not working?" when you paid scratch for it. You get what you pay for. It's basically the level up from a Department store bike.

When I decided I wanted my bruiser, it was 899.99. I saved for 8 months prior to get it. Sold jewlery too.
Then, I got a job last fall at Home hardware(I'm a student. I work after school and weekends). They pay 6.75 an hour(canadian), and that's not too great. I saved and put almost all the new parts that you see on my bike through working. For Christmas I got my cranks from grand parents and mom.

The best thing for you to have done, before rushing to the forums, CHECK the bike out, tighten things, and maybe figure it out. We can't physically go over to your bike and take a look to see what's wrong.
