PlanetBike Superflash will scare cars, anything else will not.

I run a pair of Superflashes together and wow! cars will not go near me! one car followed me for a good half km, giving me lots of room, failing to pass me out of fear! wtf?!

The Dinotte is by far the brightest tail light I have ever seen and is the primary reason we sell their fine product. It is also the most expensive...

Until you consider how important a bright rear blinkie is. I love mine. I would almost buy a second to have one on solid and one on flash.

what really works well is combo relectors and blinky (pb superflash or better)

a strong blinkie

and reflective tape on the crankarm

I saw Viewpoint Flashpoint taillight on the bike in front of me at least 1/2 mile ahead of me. It was bright and very visible. I actually had to chase that bike to get the name of the light
it's on sale now at performance bike for $15

The Dinotte is expensive but more importantly for me, I don't want to be messing with batteries when the PB Superflash is effective enough and at $20, really cheap.

I've seen this light and my guess is if you were that impressed with this light, you haven't seen the PB Superflash, it is much brighter. For $5 more, I would suggest checking it out.

I did buy Superflash and it's for sure brighter, but it also very directional. with help of my friend I did several runs on the semi-dark street with different lights on. Hes comment was than if Superflash happen to be in line with a car behind, it's very bright, but most of time it wasn't the case. Viewpoint light very bright from all directions

that said I am keeping both lights, i'll keep superflash as a backup

There was just a discussion on this recently. It was determined by comparing both head to head that the Mars was better during the day and at dusk/low light conditions and side visibility. The PBSF excels in pitch darkness. I have a Mars 2.0 and 3.0 for redundancy and higher visibility with two instead of one. Armed with this information if I were starting from scratch I would go with a Mars 3.0 and PBSF combination.
