windsor the hour vs mercier kilo tt
Beaten to death, blah blah blah, regardless
It says windsor the hour has formula hubs? for 300 bucks that would be quite neat..
kilo tt is "lugged" but is 50 bucks more
thoughts?

Kilo TT is not lugged.
People here say the Kilo TT has better overall components than most complete bikes on the market at that price range.

Kilo TT has a lugged crown FORK. $50 more. Plus the frame is made of Reynolds 520 steel instead of the standard 4130 of the Windsor. The geometry is a bit more "track" on the Kilo.
I just got my Windsor Hour a week ago. the wheelset seem pretty nice, yes- Formula hubs(the spokes are even butted?), the frame is fine, the welds aren't beautiful, but they're the same as you'd see on a Fuji/KHS or Bianchi for that matter. The headset is super cheap, the tires are cheap (but you'd probably want your personal preference anyhow), the cranks are Truvative, they're fine. The pedals/clips are junk. The saddle is serviceable I suppose, but that is very subjective for each person, 340grams on my scale.
You may not even have the choice, as they are about sold out of the Kilo TT.

I just weighed it here on a standard bathroom scale:
Me- 200lbs. (athletically built?)
Me + Bike- 218 lbs.
That's with the stock pedals on.
$16.61 per pound. That's about as much as buying a good sirloin steak. Weight weenies rejoice!

i'm sort of torn
i have an old fuji track, its beat up and i jsut want some new bike basically.
I can probably sell it on CL for 300 and buy the windsor hour, question is though if it will be worth it, or should i just attempt to upgrade, even though my upgrading will cost me money while sort of just trading them won't.

Fuji track=Windsor hour
Same bike, same components give or take.
But don't let me talk you out of it, there's something to be said for simply getting a new bike, all shiny (OK mine has a matte finish...) and new out of the box...

Seriously, it's the exact same frame. I'm not sure how they stack up component wise, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense to sell one to buy the other. It's a lateral move.

9-rings, i've got a question for you (or any other "Hour" owners).
the writing/logos on the frame. painted or decals? would getting rid of them require a repaint or it is removing them doable?

the decals are under the clear coat, and would require some work to get rid of. i've thought about doing it since the "windsor" decal on the downtube is just hideous

yeah. personally i don't really like decals at all. i really prefer a clean looking bike w/out any writing on the frame.

on the windsor, you're paying for the hubs, the crank, and the frame. Frames probably worth $125-$150 new(I'm being generous), crank around $60, hubs around $75. So it would cost you around $270-$285 to buy an equivalent frame, crank and hubset. Then factor in all the other junk they put on the bike, maybe another $100(I'm being generous again). Cost of putting it together(if you don't already know how)$60. So you're basically getting a $500(maybe a little more) brand new bike for $299 shipped to you door, basically ready to ride out of the box. I see beat up used fixies going on ebay all the time for $250-$300 + shipping. I'd take the windsor over a lot of those old conversions anyday(unless it's a sweet italian frame with tons of cool components)The windsor is a solid deal in my eyes.
but if you're just gonna be upgrading the hell out of it right off the bat, get an IRO angus, or a fixie through milwaukee Bicycle Co.
