Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What normal looking sunglasses?

I understand that a lot of people wear the fancy sunglasses and the flashier the better. And of course lots of pro's wear em so there is that of course. And when I was younger I did spend a heck of a lot on sunglasses too. But I'm over it. Plus I have 2 kids that can lose any thing smaller then a wheelset in 5 seconds flat.

So if I don't want to look like this?

What are some good inexpensive sunglasses that I can easily loose or ruin a pair or 2 a year and not worry much. I was looking at the PBK sunglasses and wondered if they are any better then a pair of grocery store glasses.

I really like the performance glasses, most have interchangable lenses and they're pretty cheap if you catch them on sale.

Generic mirrored aviators. Say "sir" a lot and keep the brim of your helmet level while addressing people.

I actually want those. Nobody would dare wave.

edit: I wear aviators or the like. good coverage, and i can wear them on or off the bike. These days I wear Smith Turntable sunglasses; awesome coverage. Kind of ridiculously big, but they're great while riding.
