I can't imagine doing that. The bumps and jarring wound just knock the mount and camera around so much. I can't imagine a video camera even working under those conditions.

Now a helmet cam I can see (and have seen) working quite well.

I mounted a camera on my handle bars with a small "flexy" tripod and zipties. Worked great. This method seems more secure. Video and pictures are awesome from a bike.

I have a RAM mount that works pretty good. It has a U bolt base to mount on the bars and a mounting plate with a swivel arm for the camera. If you're riding on really rough pavement, it will bounce a little, but overall it's decent.

I have a similar mount made from a reflector bracket and a screw. Rattled like crazy, only used it once.
