Teflon Tubing (a la Nokon)?

Does anybody know where I can get the teflon tubing like what Nokon uses as a cable liner? I'm looking at mcmaster.com, but there are lots of options, and specifics would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
B.

B.: Try a search on "teflon spaghetti tubing"; it is widely used in the electronics industry and available in an almost infinite variety of sizes and wall thicknesses. Getting it inside the cable housing might be problematic; I think the cable manufacturers construct the cable around the liner.

thanks for the keyword. I'm not going to try to shove it into the cable housing, rather I like to use it for exposed sections of cable, like between the BB and the cable stop for the Rear Derailleur, etc. It may be in my mind, but I think keeping it clean makes everything run smoother longer.

The tubing can be very helpful for sealing off the exposed open ends of housing. Be sure to cut it a little long and push the extra length into the ends of the housings, creating a seal. This requires carefully-sized tubing.

I've found a variety of diameters of spaghetti tubing floating around bike workshops, but not in catalogs. I've found pieces that fit neatly into Suntour stainless-steel coiled housing, and used it as an anti-friction liner to great effect. The sizing is pretty critical both in terms of getting the tubing into an unlined housing and also as far as allowing the cable to move freely.

I've found brake housings that had loose-fitting plastic liners that easily pulled free and could be put into other housings and/or fitted between housings.

FWIW, Nokon sells their liner separately in 5 meter lengths.

Shimano also sell "Cable Liner" in ~6' length for about $2 a pack. The part number is Y80098100.

I also use it to cover exposed wire such as the exposed brake cable between the top tube housing stops, etc. as it keeps the cable from slapping against the frame tubes and works a lot better than the little rubber donuts.
