I don't care for the look of oversized tubing, but I like the look of the brown (root beer?) Cannondale. Looks like a nice all-rounder. I get the feeling I'd like tri bars on longer rides. I have a bad back and it's nice to stretch it out every once in a while. Looks like using them for very long would hurt your neck, though.

Col., The 2.8's paint is called Black Gold. Base paint is black and the clear coat has gold metalflake tint added. Makes for a dramatic outline depending on lighting and does look a bit root beery on cloudy days. The aero bars are there to stretch my back for day long rides, they do really help as an alternate position, but don't offer much aesthetically.

PS Col., If you're an old timer local it's close to purrlend, otherwise pear land... I've been here for over thirty years and it's the later for me.

Col., There were some pear orchards, but over time were abandonded. The other pearls are found once in awhile in our local oysters.

Nice C'dales! I always like seeing pics of well-maintained fat tubed soda can frames. It's a nice counterpoint to steel, and I need to find another CAAD3 R4000 frame someday.
